Ricky T’s latest tour dates have certainly landed him the title of St. Lucia’s Cultural Ambassador.
Saint Lucians abroad as well as fans living in other countries gave Ricky T the most awesome welcome as he took to the stage during the start of his 2015 Tour. His first stop took him to London on February 13 where he performed alongside Stratosphere artiste Sergie and Lava Man from Grenada, at the event ‘Soca Frenzy’.
On February 16, he hit the Nature Isle of Dominica for their Carnival Celebrations, on the road with Kairi FM Carnival Tuesday; he was on the road again with the Mercury Mas Band being backed up by the ‘Bouyon’ Music Kings WCK. Mercury Mas Band actually named the theme of their band Bad Company Bachanalised after Ricky T’s track with Shurwayne Winchester named ‘Bad Company’. The song was the official theme song of the band.
Ricky then took flight to New York City for the St. Lucia’s 36th Independence Anniversary Celebration named ‘Unity Fete’ on February 20, which brought all Saint Lucians in that area together for a night of total Soca Invasion.
The following evening, February 21, brought the Multiple Monarch to the 36th Anniversary of Independence Ball where dignitaries such as Ms. Menissa Rambally (St. Lucia’s Ambassador to the United Nations in New York), Mr. Julian DuBois (Consul General), Mr. Matthias Wilkie (President of the St. Lucia House Foundation in New York) and the Brooklyn District Attorney, attended, amongst many others. The event had the ladies kicking off their heels in enjoyment of the ‘Tizzle’s’ nonstop hits.
His next stop took him to Houston, Texas on February 27 for the Soca Passion St. Lucia Celebration. Stratosphere Muzic is indeed proud to have this Cultural Ambassador as part of its team of giants. Ricky T continues to be consistent as he travels the world. ‘Love oh Love our Island Home’!
