Last week Saturday, the C.A.M Dancers crowned their first ever Little Miss C.A.M Princess. The pageant took place at the Ave Maria Girls’ Primary and saw five princesses vying for the historic and prestigious title. Omidarah Octave, KitanaCanaii, Aalyah Joseph, Janae Dyer and Anna Avril went all out in thefivecategories; Introduction, Costume, Talent, Fashion Wear and Interview to ensure that theydidn’t only put on a great show but create history.
However there was a twist to this particular pageant and at the end of it all, each contestantwas considered a princess and were all presented with a crown. The fairy godmothers(chaperones) Alisha Wells, Adele Hennecart, Yaneil Joseph, Skyler Honora, Arlena William and Kurnisha Augustus were also recognized and presented with an appreciation award.
Little CAM Princess was coordinated by Chelsea Joseph and Claire-Marissa Smartt with the help of the senior members of the dance troupe. The purpose of this pageant was not to find the next beauty queen but“to shape our little ones into perfect contestants for future pageants and to raise funds for our troupe.”
