It is a healthy lifestyle promoter that is quickly taking the island by storm as more and more individuals are becoming health conscious.CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program consisting mainly of a mix of aerobic exercise, calisthenics (body weight exercises), and Olympic weightlifting.
CrossFit 758, St. Lucia’s only internationally affiliated CrossFit facility hosted its first ever regional CrossFit competition called “Battleground”. The event was held on Saturday November 25th, 2017 at the Beausejour Indoor Facility from 8:00a.m. and attracted over 45 regional athletes from Barbados, Martinique, Suriname, Tortola BVI and Trinidad, as well as local athletes.
“A first for us, we are very pleased to have hosted this regional competition which tested the strength of all athletes who competed and solidified our name on the regional CrossFit scene. Battleground included a series of prescribed and scaled events which catered to both amateurs and veterans in the sport. This year the competition consisted of five divisions which included a teen division” stated Brian Charles Owner of CrossFit 758.
Charles heaped a load of praise on the individual co-operations that ensured the event was possible including the CrossFit box members and sponsors specifically their main sponsors Climax Herbal Energy Drink, Axcel Finance, Gra Nuts, and KFC.
