An Empty Page

An empty page stares
And find its reflection in my soul
A page, like the palm of my hand
Waits for words to gesticulate
My soul like the page
Dreams of mystery fiction and fantasy
The rush of suspense-filled streams
Capturing my heart
And drenching my soul with warmth
As sun-caressed velvet
The page listens to my lonesome soul
And accurately articulates the muffled music
From a heart broken and scattered
A raindrop splattered into oblivion
Bleeding tears from fears
An empty page stares
And begs this poet to pen
A word a line
A poem to a soul like this empty page
To capture the eyes
The attention of a soul-seeking sailor
Who scans through empty seas
Waiting in dreams for a fairy tale
