Christmas Without You

They say to be merry

They say to be jolly

For another Christmas is here.

The time for big shopping

And great family bonding with

Food and black cake to share.

Oh mama I wish you were here,

It’s this time I miss you the most,

To bake our cakes

And raise our glass for a toast.

Second Christmas since she’s been gone

But her memory will forever live on.

Just a note for the living

Enjoy this new season

For you never know when the last Christmas will come.

Poetry with a soul…Miss Edward
