I’ve always heard that one should face their fears head-on but…

I’ve always heard that one should face their fears head-on but I must admit that I never warmed up to the idea. Frankly, this sounded like a load of garbage to me.

The idea of facing what scares me most, alone, is terrifying, far less for the actual thing!Still, facing your fears is one of the best things you could ever do for yourself, I discovered.

I took on one of my greatest challenges earlier this week and if I had the power, I would’ve prayed in ten million languages then. I was terrified to put myself out there;still, I refused to let the fear of failure get in the way of my aspirations. I was done with procrastination.

I’m sure you’ve heard stories about famous people who were once scared. Thing is, sometimes we believe we aren’t as talented. Doubt can hold persons back in many ways but it’s time to let go of that fear and pursue the things you’ve always wanted. (You’re not getting any younger!)

Your first time probably won’t be perfect, but with time you will improve. Document your journey so you can go back in time to see how much you’ve transformed. You’ll probably laugh a little at your old self (or a lot!) but most importantly, you’ll be ever so grateful that you took that leap.

Again, it’s daunting (I know) but if I did it, you certainly can. Trust me: I doubted myself a million times but I finally let go. I realized I was being too hard on myself—perhaps you’re doing the same. If you possess the talent, let go of fear and step into the unknown. Stepping in unfamiliar territory can also be a good thing—it’s not always as scary as it seems. And even better? It gets a little easier the second time around.

You’ve got this! Now go ahead and conquer that goal.

I did and the end results were even better than I expected. And if it wasn’t, I’d cry my eyes out, but more importantly, I’d try again.

Remember to start small: dip your feet in the water and later, go in further. If you’re feeling brave enough, however, go ahead and jump right in! Make a big splash and remember to have fun in the process.

Have a good weekend my loves. Wishing you the best on your journey to success!

Sincerely, always,

Rae A.
