This weekend we are going to meet two Mr. & Miss Red Crosscontestants. The pageant is slated for Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 2:00 p.m.
The Saint Lucia Red Cross Youth engages members in a series of projects on an annual basis. One of these activities is the hosting of the Mr. and Miss Red Cross Youth Pageant. This is the sixth consecutive year that the Saint Lucia Red Cross Youth Committee has organised this event.
This pageant is being held to display the talents and knowledge of their youth members and sensitise people on the impact the Saint Lucia Red Cross is having on the lives of the youth members. It is also a fun and entertaining eventwhich shows the public the work of the Saint Lucia Red Cross Youth.
Raphael Mohara
Contestant number seven — Raphael Mohara
Raphael Mohara is a 14-year-old form 3 student at Sir Ira Simmons Secondary School; he is the President of his school’s Red Cross branch. He enjoys swimming, reading, poetry and music. Raphael is set on becoming a surgeon when he grows up.
Maicol Popote
Contestant number eight — Maicol Popote
Maicol is a 16-year-old dedicated sportsman. He is presently a member of the Red Cross school branch and serves as the P.R.O. Maicol aspires to be a professional sportsman, a dream he is currently pursuing at the Gros Islet Secondary School.
