Chloe Florenville launched her new Creole line alongside Helena Isaac on Sunday October 20, at Bay Gardens Beach Resort and Spa and we’re certainly impressed.
‘Kwéyòl en Crochet: A Belle Tifi’ featured crop tops, halter tops, off-shoulder blouses, midriff dresses and more. The collection was released just in time for Creole Day and there’s something for everyone.
“I’ve been wanting to do the line for a couple of years now but what really inspired me to do it is that I’ve been seeing other designers mixing fabric and crochet. I chose this season because of the madras; I wanted to embrace the culture,” she said in an interview with YO! on Tuesday, October 22.
“I really want to modernize crochet and get rid of the ‘it’s an old people thing’ stigma and make it fashionable and trendy for events,” she added.
Mission accomplished. Chloe’s turning heads with her debut collection and we can’t wait to see what she’s bringing to the table next year.
When it comes to fashion, Helena Isaac can do no wrong. The seasoned designer wowed attendees with her fabulous Creole line and persons just couldn’t get enough. Her bright, bold prints were eye-catching and they’re perfect for the fashionable woman.
“For me Creole is a lot about florals so I used more florals than madras; it’s just something I put together for the season,” she said in an interview with YO!on October 20.
Helena has been a designer for over 20 years (possibly 30!) and she loves every minute of it.
“I’m just a very creative person. I’ve been into this from my early teens; it’s my passion,” she added.
For young Chloe, the world is her oyster. At 20 alone, she’s killing the game and there’s no doubt that she has a bright future ahead of her.
For Helena, (hopefully!) this is only the beginning. Her work has been featured at a number of events and we can’t wait to see what else is in store!
