Gospel music hits you harder when you’re going through a rough period

People say Gospel music hits you harder when you’re going through a rough period. For me, the statement holds so much truth.

How many persons have been there? (Christian or not, Gospel music just hits all the right spots!)

When our backs are against the wall, many of us turn to God for rescue. Gospel music reminds us that God is truly able and gives us that boost of strength that we desperately need.

I was fighting an uphill battle earlier this week and the truth is, I did not see a way out. (Again!) I thanked God despite what I was going through, and accepted the outcome of the situation. I reminded myself that God is good even in the midst of the storm and continued to press on.

Folks, just when I thought it was all said and done, God took me by surprise; the ‘impossible’ happened and this is why I will go down trusting God.

When the doctor tells you that your son only has three months to live, when a school denies your application, when an employer tells you no, know that God has the final say.  Trust Him, serve Him and He will see you through.

I preach this message religiously and sometimes I’m even tempted to put it on hold, but I refuse to do so; I simply cannot suppress God’s goodness.

I’ll leave you with two quotes this weekend:

“God knows what you’re ready for. He knows what your arms are able to carry. He knows what your heart can contain. He knows what’s coming, and He knows how and when to prepare you for it. He knows the right time, the right place, the right person, the right answer. He knows, so you don’t have to.”― Mandy Hale, ‘You Are Enough: Heartbreak, Healing, and Becoming Whole’.

“Every difficulty you face, in every waiting place, you’re being given the chance to trust in the things unseen and to be abundantly blessed.” Cherie Hill, ‘Waiting on God’.

Have a blessed weekend my loves.

Sincerely, always,

Rae.
