Dear Diary,
So many individuals glorify reckless behavior; the devil-may-care attitude we often see and hear about.
Life is short; participate in thrilling negative acts because that is “living”. This ridiculous piece of advice, often, is being tossed around. I came across a post on Instagram recently which encouraged individuals to do whatever negative act they please as it’s their life and no one should dictate what they do. That’s the kind of advice which often lands us into trouble.
Many individuals worship rappers and singers who constantly remind us that they live recklessly and do absolutely whatever they want but many fail to realize that they do not lead the same lives. They fail to realize that for some, this is just a facade. These individuals don’t actually lead that lifestyle. It’s all for show and helps generate an even better income.
See how it works?
So the next time you see something that appears to be ‘cool’ on YouTube, TV or social media, however, is not, please refrain from doing it.
What’s admirable is being able to hold your own—adamantly remaining on the right path, when everyone else is in the opposite direction and is attempting to break you down in the process.
For a long time now, I’ve been one who isn’t (negatively) influenced by others. Individuals tend to drag you down with them—they don’t want to head to the road of destruction themselves.
You’d be surprised to find out that some are actually scared, hence why they encourage you to go down negative paths with them or force you to go alone.
It’s not worth it. Protect your future. Create and pursue positive goals. Live happily and opt to stay out of ugly situations. At the end of the day you’re doing this for you and I assure you, you will be pleased with your decisions.
Have a terrific weekend loves.
Sincerely, always,
Rae A.
