Company founder and manager Jancel Mater brought Healthy Strands to life in June 2018. Jancel saw a gap in the market for reliable hair products and being a natural who uses only natural ingredients in her hair and noticed immense growth and volume, decided to begin her line with the help of her friend Anabelle Aimable, who made a shea butter mixture, which when used helps hair become more manageable. The product line began with only three products and has since grown to six items which have all gotten amazing reviews on social media.
The product line currently consists of: Hair Growth Oil Mixture, Shea Butter Mixture, Cactus Rinse (strength and volume), African Black Soap Shampoo, Comeback Edges Spray and Avocado Apple Cider Deep Conditioner.
Healthy Strands products work great on both natural and processed hair to add moisture, body and bounce. The products are used to strengthen and grow hair.
The company plans to continue adding new products to their hair line with eyes set on a Cactus Shampoo and Conditioner.
Jancel Mater stated that the success of the company is based on quality products and great marketing. Jancel, being an alumnus from University of the Southern Caribbean where she studied for a degree in Marketing, has been using her degree to her company’s advantage and believes it has helped the company become what it is today.

Shea Butter Mixture: a fabulous whip of our best essential oils and natural shea butter, promotes growth and more manageable hair.

African Black Soap Shampoo: African black soap is made from the dry skin of locally harvested cocoa pods, cassava, shea tree bark, palm tree leaves, plantains, and other vegetation. It is entirely loaded with antioxidants and minerals like potassium and magnesium. It also contains vitamins A and E. This high nutrient content makes it far superior to other soaps. Our Shampoo helps clean hair and help promote healthy hair.
Comeback Edges Spray: This spray is mixed with a concentration of vitamins and essential oils which have been used to promote fast hair growth.
